Pellet Collector Services
The Pyrotechnical Ignition Systems "Pellet Collector" is a container localized on the Flare Deck, and has a sole purpose to catch and contain used LP2000 (or HP) Ignition Pellets.
Most Pellet Collectors are produced in a high quality alloy (Incolloy 800HT) and require little-none attention/Service.
The Pellet Collectors have an approximately capacity of 2000 used Ignition Pellets.
An Ignition System that operates past the Pellet Collector Capacity is not recommended and may lead to an unsafe status.
To perform Service on the Pellet Collector requires access to the Flare Deck to empty the Pellet Collector contens and to perform a visual inspection of the Pellet Collector State.
This has to be performed following a specific procedure to ensure safe handling and disposal of the used LP2000 pellets.
LTI have long experience with these tasks and can provide everything from assistance to complete handling of the Pellet Collector Service when requested.
